Excuse my Dust Series

Transfashional was an educational and exhibitive project conceived on the initiative of the Austrian Cultural Forum in Warsaw and the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, grounded on an already established and successful collaboration released between these institutions in 2015 within the artistic exchange initiative entitled “Hosted Simply”.
For my Excuse My Dust Series, I developed a destructive surface treatment using everyday household substances like flour and chlorine bleach on waste fabrics, contextualising the impact of groundwater pollution by dyeing and bleaching techniques of Textile Industries. To open up new perspectives of the phases of deconstruction, performative experiments where developed in collaboration with artist and performer Jasmin Schaitl. This new experimental process unfolded in a durational-live performance that was presented at the exhibition’s opening.
