re:pair Festival 2025

The exhibition “Masterpieces of REPAIR & UPCYCLING” at the re:pair Festival 2025 covered a wide range of topics: from upcycled designs by international designers to creatively mended everyday clothing by activists and local heroes. Part of it were pieces of my collection Wandering Tribe. The central aspect of the exhibition was UPCYCLING and the aesthetic REPAIR of clothing. The background to this is our changed appreciation of textiles and clothing: whereas clothing used to be made from natural materials, worn for years, repaired or altered, today it is a fast-moving disposable product, often made from petroleum-based synthetic fibers.

The indigo-print motifs of the Wandering Tribe collection were created in collaboration with Austrian indigo printer Josef Koó.
